Course Description

 

The 8-Week Therapeutic Walk-A-Thon Program is a guided, structured wellness experience designed to help participants enhance their mental, emotional, and physical well-being through movement, reflection, and community connection. Each weekly walk introduces a therapy-informed theme that supports self-awareness, stress reduction, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Participants engage in gentle paced walks, mindfulness prompts, journaling reflections, and optional group discussions that reinforce therapeutic skills.

 

Throughout the 8 weeks, participants will learn practical coping tools grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and solution-focused strategies. The walking format allows clients to process emotions, release tension, and practice grounding skills while improving overall health. This program is ideal for individuals seeking a low-pressure, supportive environment to explore mental health concepts while integrating consistent physical activity.
